I 'found' this winery one day when I was coming back from a long bike ride. I noticed it on Occidental Rd. In between Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. We were going to make a Costco run after my ride. I suggested to <a href="http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile.php?N=L1074560581" target="_blank">Kathy</a> that we swing by the winery and check it out. The guy at the bar said "Come on in and taste the best Sauvignon Blanc in Sonoma County!". Sure, just another sales pitch, right? Well, it was excellent. In fact, it won the Best White Wine in the 2004 Harvest Fair. But, then came the real treat. Our host said 'want to try something special. This is my favorite". Yes, this was the Noir. A great Bordeaux Blend. We bought a bottle and had it for our anniversary earlier this year. <br /><br />Also, our friends Rick & Janine introduced us to a great cab and syrah from <a href="http://www.canawine.com/" target="_blank">Ca'na Wine & Tamayo Family Vineyards</a>. Because of my kid-infested lifestyle, I don't get out to see many movies. But...<br /><br />...this filck takes the cake as best of 2005. This film was SO refreshing. In preparation for seeing this I've been catching up with the original <a href="http://www.scifi.com/firefly/" target=new window>Firefly</a> series being rerun on the SciFi channel. It's been helpful in getting to know the characters but not mandatory for enjoying the film. Mark & I agreed that some key elements went 'missing' but apparently this is director <a href="http://whedonesque.com/"target=new window>Joss Whedon's</a>, M.O.<br /><br />Anyway, totally enjoyable. Just when I get comfortable with cron and crontab, <a HREF="http://www.apple.com/macosx/">Tiger</a> throws it out.<br /><br />What is there now is a new, powerful utility called <a href="http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/man8/launchd.8.html">Launchd</a>. <br /><br />I'm all for power but now I have learn IT!<br /><br /><b>Update:</b> Well, they didn't throw out cron/crontab. It's just that it's not used for the maintenance scripts anymore. Cron does work fine.
